Combi boilers will heat up and deliver hot water instantly as and when needed. You can't leave the heating circuit with out pressure the boiler will not fire.
When The Temperature Drops Below 20 °C, The Heating Will Come Back On To Keep It At 20 °C.
It is my intention to install this asap to replace the failing hot water heater but for the time being i only intend to use the dhw side of the boiler. If its above about 35kw it would do a couple of showers. This will be the valve moving, and then the boiler working to heat up the central heating.
All The Rads Should Be Close Able, Hence Removable, Just Leaving Any Water To Pass Through The Pipework Under Cooling Or If Turned On Accidentally.
However, this boiler recommendation was probably taking into account a home which also has gas central heating system running off the hot water. The baxi 133 hf (i think) range, combi and system boilers can have trvs on all rads as it uses a flow switch to switch out the boiler if all trvs are closed, otherwise you need a room stat and no trv on the rad in that room. Combi boilers have controls on the unit which allow you to set the temperature of the water that will be circulating around the central heating system and out of the taps.
We're Looking Into Replacing Our Boiler.
You do need to know how to fill and bleed the system on completion however. The boiler will work to bring the room. Combi boilers will heat up and deliver hot water instantly as and when needed.
Combi, Heat Only And System.
There is an entirely separate electric hw tank & plumbing for 'domestic' hot water (showers etc.) we don't necessarily want to alter the dhw system at the moment, it works fine, and leaving it alone would be cheaper. When they fail it normally only allows hot water only. If it is a combi it depends really on what kw the boiler is and what flow of water you have coming from the main.
You Can't Leave The Heating Circuit With Out Pressure The Boiler Will Not Fire.
The 38kw will be for hot water only. Ie, if you cam shut each rad off at the valves, you don't need a plumber. Likewise, just after running hot water, you might notice that your combi boiler makes noises.
